East Asia and the Pacific is among the world’s most populous, diverse and dynamic regions. It accounts for a growing share of global consumption, trade flows, capital, innovation and talent. With an expanding middle class and an increasingly skilled workforce, the region is undergoing rapid digital transformation and is emerging as one of the world’s most connected and innovative markets.
The region is home to several regional organizations, including APEC, ASEAN, the Pacific Islands Forum and the Asian Development Bank. These platforms play an important role in advancing economic growth, trade and commercial partnerships with the private sector.
As a global hub for growth and innovation, and with significant natural resource endowments, the East Asia and the Pacific offers a broad range of opportunities across digital technologies, advanced manufacturing, natural resources, agriculture, life sciences and defense and security. BCIU provides strategic support, sector-specific programming and opportunities to deepen engagement with key stakeholders across the region, helping members expand business opportunities and strengthen international understanding.
