Everett Eissenstat is the Deputy Assistant to the President for International Economic Affairs and Deputy Director of the National Economic Council at the White House. He was nominated by President Donald J. Trump to this position in June 2017. He is the President’s representative and lead United States negotiator for international summits that address economic affairs, including G7, G20, and APEC.
Eissenstat previously served as Chief International Trade Counsel to the U.S. Senate Finance Committee, as Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for the Americas, and as the legislative director to Congressman Jim Kolbe (R-AZ).
Eissenstat received a Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Oklahoma, a Master of Arts degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Texas, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Spanish from Oklahoma State University.
