Brenda VanHorn is the Deputy Senior Commercial Officer at the U.S. Embassy Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
Ms. VanHorn previously served as the Senior Commercial Officer at the U.S. Consulate General Casablanca, beginning in September 2015. While at post, she led the commercial team in organizing the Moroccan-U.S. Business Development Conference in celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the free trade agreement between Morocco and the United States.
Prior to arriving in Casablanca, Ms. VanHorn served as the Deputy Commercial Service Officer in Warsaw, Poland, where she was responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of the U.S. Commercial Service. While in Warsaw, she organized and served as control officer for the fact-finding mission of the President’s Export Council (PEC) led by Secretary Penny Pritzker. In 2009, she joined the Department of Commerce and was first assigned to a domestic tour in the Export Assistance Center in Buffalo New York. Prior to joining the U.S. Commercial Service, Ms. VanHorn enjoyed a career in the private sector where she worked in international trade for consumer goods and manufacturing companies.
Ms. VanHorn graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Houghton College.
