Roundtable discussion with Mr. Daniel Mullaney, Assistant United States Trade Representative for Europe and the Middle East. He will have traveled to Egypt for trade talks immediately prior to this event and will focus his comments on those discussions. He has also been in London and Brussels in recent weeks and will be prepared to discuss issues related to the United Kingdom and European Union as well.

 

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Daniel Mullaney serves as Assistant United States Trade Representative for Europe and the Middle East at the Office of the United States Trade Representative, where he is responsible for developing and implementing U.S. Trade Policy with Europe and the Middle East.

Prior to this position, from 2006 to 2010, Mr. Mullaney served as the Office of the United States Trade Representative’s Senior Trade Representative in the United States Mission to the European Union. Before acquiring the position of Senior Trade Representative, Mr. Mullaney served in the Office of the United States Trade Representative’s Office of General Counsel.

Prior to joining the Office of the United States Trade Representative, Mr. Mullaney was a partner in the law firm of Dorsey and Whitney where he specialized in international trade law.

Mr. Mullaney holds a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College as well as a joint Juris Doctor and a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
